How to throw a Royal Wedding Without the Royal Price tag!

It has been over 20 years since the last Royal Wedding day was televised. Are you excited and amazed by all details surrounding William and Kate's upcoming Royal nuptials? Has all of the media attention got you thinking of planning your own Royal Day? Do you have a grand vision for your wedding day that has the opulence and drama of a Royal Wedding day, but have no idea here to start or have millions of dollars to spend?

Here are a few tips to create your Royal affair without breaking the bank!

Build Anticipation from Engagement until the BIG DAY
The world has been on Royal Wedding watch since the news leaked of the engagement of Prince William and Kate Middleton. From what Kate will wear to the wedding cake, the public is in a royal frenzy anticipating what will happen on April 29th! Why not create your own royal wedding buzz by creating a wedding web page announcing your engagement sprinkled with pictures, videos and a few fun facts of how you met. Along with ceremony location information, give guest a sneak peek into what you are planning for your royal affair! Introduce your wedding party; share your cake tasting experience, talk about the music to be played, share a little bits and pieces about the details such as what might be served at the reception! Have fun with it and keep guest in anticipation right up to the big day!

Don't be Afraid to Break Tradition
William and Kate is making sure their personal thumb prints are on their big day. They have made it clear that they want a fun wedding day and respectfully stepped away from some of the formalities of royal wedding traditions. In lieu of wedding gifts, Kate and William have set up donations for a variety of charities, and are treating guest to a finger food buffet at the wedding tea. Guest even received the royal invite by emailed save the dates! How will you personalize your royal wedding day? Start by weaving your personality and style, hobbies or activities that you share together as a couple or individual traits that can add your unique twist to the traditional wedding day. Opt for an outdoor reception in a garden instead of an indoor banquet hall, or change the order of the traditional wedding day and treat guest to a royal breakfast buffet followed with a mid afternoon wedding ceremony.

All About the Royal Details
Even if you are working with a limited wedding budget; it is the small details that will make the biggest impact for your wedding day. Enhance the royal experience for guest by appealing to their 5 senses, see, hear, taste, and smell. Think of creative ways to incorporate various textures and colors, linens, music, food and drink, lighting and floral arrangements that have a luxurious feel without the big price tag. Incorporate rich colors of such as; reds, royal blue and emerald greens with accents of gold, silver and copper. Create a coat of arms or family crest to commemorate your new family to stamp on wedding day programs, menus and escort cards! Take your unforgettable walk down the aisle with a 25 foot cathedral veil held by your junior bridesmaids. Be creative and think out of the box! Include a few DIY projects to add a personalized touch and surprise guest with a WOW factor every hour!

Get a Royal State of Mind
William and Kate have been working closely with a private secretary and a military person who are key advisers responsible for organizing all the details for the main public event, the ceremony, the procession and the reception. Both advisers are working diligently to make sure that William and Kate's wedding day wishes are planned to their liking. You might not be planning to have 1900 guest, but even planning a royal affair  for 60 guest is no small feat! It can take hundreds of hours to plan all the details for a perfect day!  You want to make sure that you maximize your wedding day budget! And all the details must dazzle family and friends. February LOVE Wedding Inspiration: A Ketubah for Your Wedding Day

I am always on the look out for unique and romantic ideas for weddings. I came across the Modernketubah.com  website and feel in LOVE with the concept of using a ketubah for your wedding day. If you would like one for your wedding day check out Modernketubah.com or add it to your DIY wedding day projects!

What is a ketubah?
(pronounced "keh-TOO-buh")  in Hebrew it means "document" or "it is written".A ketubah is a work of art that uses images and words to express the love and commitment of your marriage vows.

A ketubah  is a unique way to publicly declare your commitment and love in addition to the ceremony. At the reception instead of a guest book, have guest sign your wedding day ketubah! You can frame and display it in your home as a constant reminder of all who shared your special day.

The picture can be of  flowers, such as the ones displayed here. Or some other options are engagement photos, your wedding rings, wedding bouquet or anything else symbolic about your wedding day.

Some ideas for words to use on your wedding day ketubah can be your personally written wedding vows, a favorite poem, a favorite scripture or song.
