Historically, the groom’s cake is a dark, rich cake heavily laden with dried fruit, nuts and honey; today, it is the perfect opportunity to call out your groom’s hobbies, obsessions (besides you!) and idiosyncrasies. For my husband’s cake, I choose a humorous concoction that made joking reference to his love of golf, tennis and his vegetable garden. Fun aside, make sure the cake tastes as good as it looks.
